Bay Area Wedding Officiant

My name is Kate Chipman. I am a long-time Marin County resident and an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church. I believe that marriage is a sacred and loving bond between two people and I am proud to help couples enter into a lifelong blissful union.

I can perform traditional, civil, and same-sex marriages. I would be honored to be part of your wedding ceremony. Let me help you create a meaningful and joyous ceremony that reflects who you are, your values, and commitment.

If you’re based in the San Francisco Bay Area and are planning a non-denominational wedding, please contact me for a free consultation.

Choose Your Vows

There are many ways to make your wedding ceremony personal and memorable. You may have already planned your vows or you may still need some guidance. By law, the only requirement is that you have a Declaration of Intent; this is most commonly recognized as the “Do you take…” and “I do” exchange. The rest is up to you.

  • Create your own vows
  • Use a vow template
  • Choose prewritten vows
  • Incorporate props into your vows

I am happy to provide you with some assistance in writing your own vows or with finding vows that reflect your commitment to each other.
